Google Slides is one of the more unique elements of the Google Drive suite of software. Located one-hundred percent online, Google Slides offers many of the same features as PowerPoint, but in a much sleeker and easier to use format. Google Slides is a predominately drag-and-drop style software that allows its users to create stunning presentations without a lot of know-how or software expertise.

Google Slides is completely integrated with the rest of the Google Drive package, making it easy to embed spreadsheets, images, and text from elsewhere into the presentation. It is stored remotely on the Google Drive, allowing users to access it from anywhere regardless of the operating system being used. Google Slides is available for computers, laptops, cell phones, and tablets for Apple, Android, and Windows. Having a Gmail-based email is required for use, but setting up an email is incredibly easy. Google Slides is completely free to use and requires little to no setup.

Each of the presentations is stored in a very small file size, and therefore don't use up very much online storage. Photos and videos can easily be embedded through by uploading the original file or simply by pasting a URL onto the screen.

Unlike other cloud-based software, Google Slides works both online and offline. This makes it great for those who are looking to work on-the-go or who need the flexibility of traditional software.

Google Slides is offered in forty-two languages, and that number continues to grow. It is designed with sharing in mind, as many different users from anywhere in the world can easily collaborate and work together, even simultaneously. The focus on collaborating and opening the software up to everyone globally through offering it in many languages sets Google Slides ahead in an ever-globalizing world.

Overall, Google Slides is a great choice for groups looking to collaborate, for those who are looking for an easier alternative when creating presentations, and for those who need a free alternative to paid-for software. It is not as robust as some of the other software, but Google continues to develop and grow the product. It is a good product to have available in any user's arsenal of tools.
